I picked up a 1946 Mk IV back in the 90’s for $100 and 1000 rounds of .303 British for $108. Never had a misfire from the ammo and it was all made in 1918. It is a “war stick”!

First one I picked out did blow up in my face though. The receiver had been hacksawed into, putting the lie to the claim by the purveyor that they were all bench fired prior to sale! I had checked it well, but had not disassembled the wood.

My brother who also loves guns I'm sure can relate some very interesting conversation on that subject. Being a Vam reconnaissance missions pilot and was blocked from leaving Iran during the 444 days hostage crisis. He tells he was only able to get to the air post to leave was because of the Iranian friends he made at Pam Am. He tells they have machine guns to get him safely to the air port that Friday in 1981.

He today lives off the grid. His advice to me is..never be on the cell when out in public. I have taken his advise. Thanks for sharing.

I get criticized here for posting the views of other countries..but a lesson well known as my brother would advise..know the feelings and hearts of the ones you are engaged with no matter what the time limit.
