Thanks for your kind reply. Am soooooo sorry to read your list of unnecessary annoying to insulting to painful experiences on these threads.

I think Qx is right ... a lot of conservatives (actually and liberals more so) have horrendous degrees of RAD--Attachment Disorder.

That leaves many of them with a very OCD, perfectionist mentality, personality and set of sensibilities.

They tend to go through life trying vainly, often arrogantly and certainly sternly with great overlays of prissy--trying desperately and harshly to batter the rest of the world into THEIR "PARAGON" IMAGE.

Then they get huffy and all self-righteous when the world doesn't enjoy the attempts to batter them into such tidy little boxes.

Wellllllllllll, tough tacos. Guess what. The world is NOT made up of tidy little boxes.

And when the pharisees tried repeatedly and hard to shove Jesus into THEIR tidy little "LAW" oriented boxes--Jesus became his most stern and harsh in His rebuke of that kind of tidy little boxed mentality.

Qx used to be a lot like that, himself. It was wearisome for him and for those around him. Was NOT one of his endearing qualities. Probably his first 30 years were that way. The next 10 there was some transition. Now, he's a lot more fun to be around and a lot easier to hear.

Thankfully, most of the thread nanny posts have not been that horrible as can sometimes be the case. Still, the expectation that the rest of us will conform to THEIR tidy little boxes is just unrealistic and at some point, overly arrogant, imho.
