well there is a really good story behind it.
the original writer was fed up with all the insane hippy, ‘love your body, love yourself’ stuff e.g.
if you are vegetarian you will live forever
if you eat fruit you wont get cancer
if you give up drinking and smoking you will be far healthier.
etc
the story goes, that the reason zombies are slow and stupid is they represent what life is like. you being young and healthy, someone who jogs and believes the latest food fad, can run thru the zombies and not get bitten. you can dodge and weave and even kill the zombies but there is never enough bullets or bats or knives... eventually and when you least expect it you get bitten and die.
he wanted to send a message to people. sure, stop smoking, or eat only vegetables, but sooner or later you will die from ‘something’ and when you least expect it, so go live your life as best you can and stop believing in stupid s***.
an interesting take dont you think?
now he was far more eloquent than me above, thats the cliff notes version.
Well, I think I get it but the whole thing seems dark and ominous.
I’m a Christian who knows the grace of Christ and every day is a bright wonderful day because the love and life of Christ is with me and in me. Sure I have my fair share of problems and issues, but Jesus’ love and grace makes me a victor, turns darkness into light, and mourning into joy for me.
IMO the real answer to the stupid nonsense that author, you, and all of us see around us is the brightness and love of Jesus, not the darkness of fear and death. I don’t want to take anyone’s fun away, but I think I’ll leave fearing the walking dead to others I guess.
Thanks for the cliff notes version.
