It is wrong to keep a 5-yr-old up that late. Ask any doctor.

You can disagree, that's okay. But it should be okay for me, too.

We can disagree.
I personally know of a family (they homeschool). The father works 2nd shift. They have adjusted their schedule so that they have dinner after he gets home. They go to bed a few hours later, sleep til mid morning or noon. Breakfast is eaten, Dad goes to work, they have school/play. Their entire day is tilted differently than the “norm” and it works for them. They are a really cool family. 4 kids. 3, 5, 7 and 10.
I am not suggesting the victim and family do the same. I was just showing an example of how “different” is not always questionable.
PS I guess I was a really bad parent(my son was up after 9 plenty when he was young) so go ahead and judge me. It is all good. I know I was not always perfect and never claimed to be. I truly wish I had been.

Have a wonderful evening.

Who on earth would check a doctor about bedtimes?

Most parents have good, common sense and can figure that out all by themselves.
