Agree that may have been the Isis that inspired the name and that definition is not unfortunate. Just cant imagine calling a pet come here Isis. Since these days it could be confused with ISIS.

Its a reasonable name for a dog or cat if youre a lover of Egyptian ancient history. Most people name pets for something they love. I wouldnt blink twice at that nickname.
