I’m a fan of the 4 door Chargers. I see they are using them in police undercover work and on police tv shows. An AWD version would make it a great snow car too.

One of the best things about SUV’s is they are so easy to get in and out of. Cars have traditionally been lower so people have to slide down and in instead of straight across. It’s the getting out that’s harder on the older folks because they have to lift and use their knees and hips to get up out of the lower cars. Not so with SUV’s.

The Charger is somewhere in between the lower car and the higher sitting SUV.

The problem with E-V’s is the batteries have to be replaced every 8-10 years and they ain’t cheap. It’s almost like having to buy a new engine. Until that issue is solved; E-V’s will be niche vehicles.

I don’t think it’s a matter of being a fan or not.

The strangeness comes in transferring the name of one of the great muscle cars of all time to what, as you point out, is essentially a service vehicle.

Not something that is going to ruin anyone’s day. Just another example of corporate types wanting to live off the past, without living up to it.
