IIRC, Ford is playing with the idea of resurrecting the Mach 1 name as a model, not a sub-model - and it'll be an electric vehicle (likely a crossover).
IMO, if they don't want to sell sporty cars any more, let the nameplates fade away. Think up new, boring names for the new, boring vehicles.
