Being Portuguese my mind said, at that point there would have been a lot “no longer in my possession”.
Hope that is so. If videos of Hillary made it to the dark web, a lot of other stuff probably made it somewhere else too.

Should have known their might be more to the story, because that was a VERY big move and highly suspect. THAT had federal ramifications, but wasn’t it a NY state case? The principals resided and the EVIDENCE was discovered, in NY.
I don’t know how that works with boundries and ownership of state discovery evidence, but that a state can sign off on turning evidence over to the feds.
The NYPD made abundantly clear to the FBI at the time, that IF the FBI failed to prosecute, the NYPD would follow through.
That was followed by the DOJ THREATENING THE NYPD etc. etc. I'm confident the NYPD retained multiple copies of the laptop data.
