Long Beach Naval Shipyard (Terminal Island) ring any bells?

CVAN and associated Carrier Strike Group surface ships were docked (and refitted/overhauled) there along with Auxilaries. Lots of room to dock all kinds of traffic.....

Don’t know if any subs were there. (I can check on that.)

Qx has long believed that China would use their vast COSCO shipping resources to bring many thousands of troops to the USA. He was often criticized about how unrealistic that idea was.

He still believes he'll live to see it happen. The Chinese are well able to overhaul container ships toward such a use. Their troops are used to meager accommodations.

And China has been learning a lot about logistics as they have been expanding their reach to Africa and recently even tried to the South Seas of the Pacific.
