Yep. They'd be seen just like a meteorite. But they are moving fast and little could be done to "blunt the impact." Angle entry is near normal. Mach 10, about 6000 MPH, 8800 feet per second. Might have a good 5-10 seconds of visibility.

Hey, isn’t the magnetosphere due to flip soon? Might that SKY EVENT cause ten days of (internet) darkness, so archive offline while you can?

My point is, if these things are 'raining' down in the numbers some here speculate, doesn't it make sense that someone somewhere would have seen such and connected it to a low boom/rumble some minutes later and reported it and there'd be some buzz?

Instead, crickets.
