1. Have a place to host them on the web. I use https://postimages.org/
2. Have notepad with these in it available on you desktop.
NOTE all quotation marks I am putting in here must be removed or replaced by something (graphic name/location, width info etc)
NOTE in wordpad you won't have to use the Xs and Ys
Ximg src="insertpichere" width=200YX/imgY
Change the Xs and Ys with
X is <
Y is >
3. Find/make your graphic
4. Use site in step one to convert it. You can name it whatever you want to.
5. Copy the DIRECT LINK from the site and put it into the line where "insert picture" is
6. Preview it for size. If it is too small change the width=200 to width 400 or whatever is going to work.
7. Preview it til it looks right. Maybe even paste it into word to see the size there.
8. When you think you have it right put it in a thread. If the size needs adjusting you will know next time about what it should be.
Hope this helps. If not it will be easier if I explain it on the phone.
Ooookay, I tried to explain my method and inadvertently did something stupid (not uncommon). I asked mods to delete it.
No Doll, I THINK I have what you explained, is this it? I do not want to post images on the web as my life is complex enough and I am ALWAYS behind.... so if I find neat things I can post em. I do keep instructions on a document on my desktop but sadly I cannot find the directions explaining how to size an image merely inserting the words small, medium or large (someplace in the mix). I am taking off the < and > so it doesn’t work and Do Bad Things, I will replace them with X.
Ximg src=” [insert url] “></imgX
I now am trying to size using this method that someone freepmailed me:
Ximg src=”URL”width=”99%”X
**IF you want it to be less than full size, REPLACE 99 with whatever percentage of the page width you want.**
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t seem to. Could easily be doing it wrong.
THANK YOU, kind moderator.
Sometimes you just have to take it down to pretty small and move up til it gets right.
Unless you are looking at the Pixel width you have no real way of know.
To do that you have to look at the code which may or may not be available to you if you grab something from the web.
I don’t do the % thing I just start with 200 or 400 and see what it looks like.
Another way to check is once you have the picture converted at PostImage, just open it in any program you want to and see how big it is then adjust it before you put it into the thread.
Look at the options you have at PostImage
There are links for thumbnails for forums, thumbnails for websites etc. See which one is best suited for threads and just use that link all the time.

The problem is that my brain is actually very, very limited. I mean, VERY.
Write poetry? Play musical instruments and learn how myself? Cook from scratch? Draw? Make my own herb formulas? I can do all those.
But the things you describe above... can’t do. I can only do very, very simple, primitive stuff with computers.
I do appreciate your help and I’m sure most freepers would totally grok it and be able to follow them. The only stuff I can do is copy and paste bits of html that people give me. I’m amazed I can even do that.
You can do it, it just takes a little practice.
Grab an image you have already posted in here and just change the size and post it til you get it right.
YOU CAN DO THIS, I know you can!! :-)
As background for anyone unfamiliar with Fast and Furious.
Hi little jeremiah!
You had requested some instruction on SIZING. Edzo4 was gracious to share with me the following:
https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images.asp
>img src=img_girl.jpg alt=Girl in a jacket style=width:500px;height:600px;<
I use this link to scale ranges. I right click and inspect the image to see how high by how wide the I just change the numbers in the above image to 50 % of that for example a 800 x 500 becomes 400 x 250 and also change the arrows before posting and use the preview button to make sure it looks right.
Suggestion for the meme hub:
Put the picture source under the meme, so all Freepers would have to do is insert it into URL formula. (Suggest they use 60% or less for size)
I find it by right clicking As Cortana about this picture. Sometimes it takes a few clicks, but it finally appears in the left sidebar.
Don’t know if it’s memeworthy but, POTUS piloting a shot up B-17 through heavy flak.
Thank you, O King of graphics! I will save and use.
I am not a maker, only attempting to copy and paste. I always keep hoping people will post ‘em here.
I didn’t see you had just posted that here!
