Apparently, one dog had a rabies shot, but the other did not. One has been euthanized, and the other will be returned to the owner.
Can we get this man the GOP nomination in 44 years. Hehas more grit guts and determination than all but a couple of folks in DC.
Owner didnt have vicious dogs under control. He or she should be held responsible.
If you own a Pit Bull, Bull Terrier, or Staffordshire Terrier, you should have to purchase a very high value of insurance. Barring that, breed these beasts out of existence. They are just an breed that is too powerful to live among civilized people.
JMO, but my 2 year old Granddaughter took 137 stitches on Christmas day 2017 to her face. The Pit we all knew, decided to take hers practically off. If not for the miles between my house, which the kids had left in the late morning, and the other daughters house, I would have severed that dogs head on the spot. Heartbreaking, just heartbreaking.

Both dogs should be put down.
All pitbulls should be shot on sight. They’re wild animals, not pets.
Somewhat unusual, in that the father was able to kick the dogs off of his son.

I’d take an axe handle to them dogs....
“and the other will return to its owner.”
Uh, no. Is the owner going to put the creature down or just shrug his shoulders and say “oh well”?
This makes me so angry.
My vet of twenty five years believes, the personality type of those who have pits creates a perfect storm of violence, as the owners are usually anti social and the dogs are as well.
Minding his own business fixing a fence and spending time with his four year old son and the kid gets attacked by wild animals. You could expect this kind of thing in Africa. But not rural Arkansas.
the other dog needs the death penalty as well.
Vicious dogs under control
Irony! The vicious trait is what makes them uncontrollable they are bred to be vicious.
Start bringing these dog owners up on criminal charges.

Im at the point where the government needs to either license these *owners* as demonstrating dog-handling skills, and insurance, and special housing, and criminal penalties for allowing them to ever be not under control...
Or
Outlaw this breed, as NZ and others have done.
Most dog owners never train their dogs and are controlled by their dogs, etc. Add a powerful, temperamental dog, and the outcome seems certain.
My dog is trained and Im in charge. I carry law enforcement strength mace and a tactical folding knife when I walk him because of other dogs.
I had a pit circle me near the front of my house several years ago. Took me over 10 minutes to maneuver toward my door and get in. All the time this was going on I was pelting the critter in the head & torso with rocks. The rocks hardly moved him. It annoyed him at best....good enough to distract him & get me out of his clutches I suppose.
I just watched a dog food commercial about a pit bull rescue. They make me feel queasy. These dogs need to be outlawed. They don’t need to be rescued; they need to be euthanized. There is nothing anyone can say that would change my mind. I can see they are beautiful animals. I can see they can be “wonderful” pets. But they must have some gene in their makeup, that gives them the ability to be loyal, loving animals, then turn on a dime and try to kill some random person. Why, if there’s a history of this breed doing that, would ANYONE insist on continuing them? It’s a DOG. The world will continue to revolve around the sun, without this breed. What’s the worst thing that could happen if this breed died out? Certainly much less than the worst thing that could happen, if it didn’t.
“Outlaw this breed, as NZ and others have done.”
The voice of reason.
