Well sort of, it is an attempt by the Atheists to eliminate the BC and AD designations which have been used for many centuries. As if this pathetic attempt will weaken the standing of our Lord.

A.D. is based on the birth of Christ. (in spite of the “After Death” reference)

Common Era is used to ignore the existence of Christ.

When I see CE used in that way, I just assume it means Christ Eternal. What else SHOULD it mean? “Christian Era” possibly. Works for me.
