It starts with Trump foreign policy strategy / policy. Much more expansive than I will express here. In simple terms, he goes to an adversary, China, Russia, and in this case Saudi Arabia. He finds a common ground. In this case the common ground is an enemy . . . Iran.
Saudis as you know hate Iran much much more than they hate Israel and and the feeling is mutua Iran towards Saudi. So Trump has figured out Iran is the greater threat. It has long been believed, Iran was the key to peace in the middle east. Take care of them first, the rest will fall in place.
So lets start there and he goes to Saudi first and builds a bridge.
Interestingly, due to my work, I happened to know that Saudi and Israel were starting to work together before Trump. They all have a common enemy or greater threat. and that is Iran
Also, I believe, that the new leader of Saudi is a man of his word and he truly wants change for his country.
Gotcha, I guess I did not factor in Iran. What you say does make sense and I agree for practical purposes why it must be done.
I will never fully trust of anyone that claims to be a Muslim and follows the Koran. I cannot reconcile that.
