I can’t say I disagree with your thoughts on this, I’d only say that one might be cautious using a broad brush. I’ve seen and known plenty who worked and the kids were out of the house with sitters/daycare, and these kids I know are some the brightest and most productive. I realize there are exceptions to every rule, and am saddened by society’s lack of family values.

The USA has taken an academic drop that is embarrassing, however. Something is replacing classical education and it’s now demonstrable, all over the place, certainly in our cultural decline.
I didn’t even start on the displacement of Christian influence all but removed from every institution, but, first, foremost, killed dead in education.
