I worked when mine were little but between health issues and getting laid off havee been unemployed for years.
I think it was a good thing.
I had time to learn what goes on from sources other than legacy media and spent a lot of time countering the bs they were taught in school.
They are good kids. My son is up and out. My daughter will graduate in another year. Both of them thought for themselves, stayed out of trouble, got good grades.
My daughter worries me though. She is so disgusted with school she’s talking about enlisting right away. I think she should take some accounting classes or something and just kind of float a year or two until she figures it out.
That didn’t work so good for me though, so maybe she’s right.
I will hate to see her go. She’s a young lady but all I see when I look at her is my little girl.
I do think moms need to really be available for their kids.
It really does make a difference.
At least get her AA degree before going in, then get them to pay for it. I would go for the air force myself.
I hear you, momma. Nice story, gray outcome. If she believes she is ready, maybe she will consider first to research and converse with some women in that path? Be nice if you could be a part of some of that so she can bounce off you some of her discovery and thoughts wouldnt it.
I meant *great* outcome! Dang auto spell.
