Since I'd like to share KML data with you, I respectfully suggest that you can minimize your coordinate errors if you:

1. Check your Google Earth Preferences and set "Elevation Exaggeration" to minimum (0.01)

2. Remove all tilt

3. Click the "N" at the top of the rotation tool to make sure North is "up"

4. Remove all tilt -- again.

5. Put your cursor on the center of the "blue "Bow Tie" and re-check your coordinates

6. (I expect you'll want to set a placemark -- to preserve your coordinates ...

HINT: the closer you zoom in on a point, the smaller your placement and measurement errors will be...
