The only way to start drilling there and pipe it to the end user was the overthrow of Assad. Can't really go into a head-to-head war with Russia/Iran, but by throwing support to ISIS, gaining control of that area would solve that problem. Thats the simple version

Thanks for posting about Genie energy. To me it is the same thing as our neighbor Mexico occupying West Texas’ EagleFord Shale, then selling the drilling and production rights to Venezuela.
