Question: Could this FBI raid have happened without Wray's Knowledge or Involvement?

Posted on 04/09/2018 5:25:59 PM PDT by Be Careful

FR is the best RT Civics Class EVER! I constantly learn from our knowledgeable community.................................................................................. . So, my questions is this: Is it possible for this raid to have been carried out WITHOUT having to have made its way up the food chain and on to Wray's desk? .........................................................................................................The true answer to this question will tell us a lot

I doubt it. Wray had to know and likely had to sign off. Bet that went to Rosenstein and Sessions. Otherwise Sessions needs to fire a few people.

The President’s lawyer? Hell yes Wray would have likely been told as would have Rosenstein. As for the Sleeping Elf, he would likely have been kept in the dark along with the mushrooms in his office.

Not possible, if it did happen he has no control over his agency.

I would love for the house to tell the FBI and DOJ that either the deliver everything they have asked for or the house will cut off funds for both agencies

How high up did it go? How about all the way to Jeff Sessions. From the Washinton Examiner =>

“The attorney general made a terrible mistake when he did this and when recused himself or he certainly should have let us know if he was going to recuse himself and we would have put a different attorney general in,” Trump told reporters.

Of course they knew probably mentioned it while making high-profile dinner plans to rub in the president’s face.

The Empire Weasel Eric Schneiderman was a big part of this....that slime bag is frothing at the mouth to be part of the kill while that scrawny insipid scavenger Prince Andrew picks at the bones and has a press release orgasm...

It’s a setup:

They got nothing.

They want Trump to fire Mueller.

Then get him in the media, AND for obstruction.

Trap.
Trump should say “We’re cooperating fully the the investigation.” With a big smile.

And let Mueller hang himself.

Trump has the obligation to act to defend the Constitution.

If he has no Constitutional rights, none of us have them.

We have reached a point of existential crisis for the Republic. Laying back and taking it is not an option.

This is awful. Rosenstein needs to be impeached, and removed or fired.

I suspect there is some long-standing “internal directive” about general latitude that should be given to prosecutor working on a case. Don’t assume Wray knew about it.

I was reading Andrew McCarthy at NRO’s analysis of the strange way that Mueller started with very large, grandiose charges against Richard Gates and Paul Manafort, and then pleaded down charges to very minor charges. McCarthy referred to US Justice Dept. guidelines, which are not laws or regulations, but should guide a prosecutors conduct.

I would bet there is something in there about prosecutors being able to do searches with a measure of independence, not having to get everything approved from the top on down. Maybe some enterprising Freeper will read through the manual to tell us what it recommends in this case

https://www.justice.gov/usam/usam-1-1000-introduction#1-1.100

Of course, Mueller would know the customs and traditions, and could no doubt stretch their intent to meet his purposes. He is an old deep-state warhorse who was brought out of retirement for a Kamikaze mission against Trump, so its not like he is concerned about his reputation or his next job. Mueller also feels he has political protection of the leftist mob and media to engage in his various fishing expeditions.

Then get him in the media, AND for obstruction.

Media? Possibly Yes.

Obstruction? NO. Trump carrying out a basic Article 2 duty/right of the Constitution, when Mueller himself has said he's not under investigation is absolutely within Trump's rights and privileges.

It COULD have been done without his knowledge....

But it wasn’t.

He knew, and approved.

He is just as ‘DeepState’ as Mueller and Comey.

Just has hidden it better, so far.

I agree......I think that somehow Mueller was able to navigate this on his own, without Wray’s involvement.

He has very few arrows left in his quiver and as it stands right now, he may be the only firewall left to protect the cabal. This is for all of the marbles on both sides.

This is in real time and we are watching an epic chapter of our history.

Sadly, it is our Constitution that is at stake.

I think they were going on a warrant that alleged there was reasonable cause to believe that the attorney paid money for silence from Stormy Daniels with funds from the campaign.

That would not be attorney/client as the attorney maintains he acted on his own.

Public figures are public targets.

I don’t know how Wray can fail to serve the warrant if a judge signs it and Mueller has agents ready to go. Resign? That wouldn’t stop it. Fail to serve a properly drawn warrant?

Its crap but that is our Federal government — pure crap.

Rosenstein Approved it.

He’s fully behind Mueller per NYC Radio News.

Well, of course on Rosenstein. I nearly added his name to Comey’s and Muellers, but decided to just leave it at current & former FBI Directors, since everyone expects the DOJ to be corrupt Deep Staters.
