It's not so much an issue of navigation, IMO, it's that information is scattered willy nilly in a sea of noise.

Add to that, we each have our own stream of consciousness, so what we are looking for doesn't necessarily follow the order of ANY presentation, even one that is pretty much free of noise. Getting knowledge is tough slogging, period.
