There is a deep spiritual principle here. Remember the saying that the eye is the window to the soul. I won’t expound more than this:
Matt. 6:22-23 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your vision is clear, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your vision is poor, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
