If you’re gonna retire the old computer, think maybe about Running linux on it- perhaps as a dual boot process- linux is much safer than windows on the net- use it as primary online os, email etc-

No issues so far. I use Windows 7 on a desktop as my main pc.
The spying bugs me about Windows 10.
