Your smart phone also actively listens to your random speech content even when not on the phone. At work we have done experiments with this. Three of us will talk about an obscure thing like “squirrels in the garden stealing fruit”.
The next day we are getting pop up ads for garden pests and squirrel proof bird feeders.

You’re absolutely right. I have lost count of the number of times my wife and l will talk about something obscure and look it up on the phone (Apple) and boom the auto fill goes right to it.

I’ll do you one better. One day I was thinking about a somewhat obscure product, one which I’d never used or looked at before. THINKING. A few hours later, I was online and an ad popped up for that type of product.

Kinda scared me a little bit.
