Chinese took some heat for blowing something up in spae and creating a prety big debris field, so they are "up there" as are we and the Europeans, bigtime. Supposedly a "peaceful" space, but it is loaded with recon and "test the capabilities" objects. A significant fraction of the objects are classified as to purpose and capability. Can;t hide the objects though, and things as small as a baseball can be tracked.
I don't have a sense that what is going on is US/China military plus economic battle, at the same time. I think the military and hacking action is some other theatre.
