AFAIK, the space station reentry was expected, not forced.
Many orbiting objects re-enter each year. Upcoming and recent reentries
GPS hack would be bad. All major airlines now log their aircraft into the GPS system to sync up their altimeters. Allows aircraft to fly closer than in the past to get more planes in the same airspace. If in the weather or at night pilots would not see collisions coming. Would also let them fly into the ground.
