Thats it there...many today “know” that previous impeachments and other significant investigations were fake, false, trumped up because it was “just partisan politics.” If a Democrat prosecutes and burns a Democrat, that lends a great deal credence to the claims made now when viewed by later generations in hindsight.

Exactly, gnarledmaw. When the Republicans marched to the White House from Capital Hill demanding Nixon step down, that's all the Dems needed to turn it into a "bipartisan effort" from then until forever.

The left is quite adept at establishing the narrative and driving it home. And we are quite adept at allowing and enabling them.
