Anybody watch Jesus Christ Superstar tonight?
Nope...watched the last three episodes of Jessica Jones, along with an episode of a British series on Netflix.
>>Does it not seem odd that a big production to be broadcast on Resurrection Sunday would fail to mention anything about the Resurrection?<<
Yes, exactly.
I wont lose a friend by heeding Gods call, for what is a friend whod want you to fall? Others find pleasure in things I despise. I like the Christian life.
I’ve always enjoyed the music, have seen the stage musical several times. The first time I saw it, Jesus was not resurrected, that production was very offensive go me. Later, I saw a couple of productions in which Jesus was resurrected, huge improvement.
But there was a too much ghetto in this version. I’m SICK of so many things being ghetto-ized. Enough with the ignorant ghetto cr@p!!!! The ending also did not make clear that Jesus was resurrected, it was very ambiguous. I guess the producers didn’t want to offend the atheists, satanists and muslims—BARF!
Started off chaotic and matched my low expectations. But as it went on I really started to get into it. By the end, I really enjoyed it, and thought it was very well done overall.
Very effective final seen where Christ dies on the cross and ascends to all light. Nice visual.
The Mary Magdalene song was the highlight. Beautiful & moving rendition of a song I remember from my youth.
