I figure the MSM knows how to improve its ratings, and that is emphatically not by putting sensible weight to various news stories. The obsession with this stupid story has a couple uses. It draws viewers, and it fills space that would otherwise be occupied.

I doubt there is any trap or deep strategy. Scarborough is a dimwit contrarian, Daniels is in it for fame and fortune, he lawyer is hoping for a piece of the fortune. Toss in TDS, and voila.
