History Lesson.

Ronald took 43 pounds of late pork-ridden appropriations paper and threw them on the floor with a thud and scolded Congress that he and his staff had only 3 hours to read and act on these bills to avert a government shutdown.

Ronald never had a GOP House, and if he had had the one that exists today, it wouldn't have mattered.

We see history repeating.

The military should never be held hostage to budget negotiations between the President and Congress, NEVER. If necessary, an amendment needs to be added to the Constitution that mandates military funding continue even as the rest of the federal government ceases to operate as a result of a budget impasse.

I TOTALLY AGREE - and that’s what Trump faced - continuing to starve the military, or agreeing to this nightmare.
