He'll get nothing he wants out of Congress from now until the mid-terms, and unless, by some miracle more Republicans are elected, he'll get nothing he wants until the end of his first term.
He has allowed McConnell and Ryan to put him in a box he won't be able to get out of unless some different Republicans are elected in November, and I don't like the odds of that. And Chuck and Nancy are grinning from ear to ear and gloating and gloating.
