Ryan and McConnell have really hung him out to dry. I suppose their strategy is:
-They don’t have the support to eliminate the filibuster now
-They think they’ll be in a better position to break a filibuster after the mids
-They think they will lose a shutdown battle unless it’s over a winner issue (no protections for DACAS)
We may be in a position where we lose the House this fall and our Senate position doesn’t improve that much. Then, we’ll be in an even weaker position, passing even worse bills than this. The only consolation there is that it’s really hard to get much worse.

Hard to get much worse? Im betting theyll take the occasion to have more non-recess recesses (aka vacations). And since the Senate wont be doing anything anyhow, theyll have an opportunity to have confirmation votes on judges at EVEN A SLOWER PACE.
And Turtleman McConnell will have more time to think about ways he can advance the interests of China at the expense of the American people. Crap, are we in a nightmare?
It doesnt make a difference. Schumer and pelosi both said they got more of what the wanted with the republicans in the majority than when the dems were in the majority. Think about that for a minute then tell me what difference the election makes... of course Trump will roll over and sign it he has never pretended he doesnt like big government or that he is a conservative. All the promises are out the window. No wall, we still have Obamacare, planned parenthood is still butchering babies with our tax dollars and as an added bonus we have eroded the second amendment further. Yup Im tired of the winning /s
