Most complex events are a mixed bag, and an omnibus spending package is complex.

When it comes to spending and keeping the government open, Congress is in the drivers' seat.

I count it as a net loss, but hey, losses happen. I'd just prefer the taint be attached to Congress, Ryan and McConnell in particular.

Today wasn't a loss IMHO. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes but Trump is always way ahead of Congress (and certainly way ahead of the Democrats).

This is not checkers, but chess.

But you know that.

Trump has been in the WH long enough to get the lay of the land. He knew the basic lay of the land re: DC politics before he ever decided to run for the Presidency.

And he is advised by that powerful network which opposes the Deep State.

We are going to win...Trump is going to win...the military is going to win.

The Deep State...well, it is gonna lose.
