Rosenstein did report that he would recuse himself as Acting Attorney General once Muller started looking at FISA process, since his (Rosenstein) name was on one of the three FBI applications, to the FISA court.

I wonder if his recusal, should it occur, would be as thorough as Jeff Session's recusal, or whether he'd narrowly confine it to just the FISA issue. 'Cuz, if he really recused himself, whoever replaced him would have the ability to rein Mueller in from his wildly straying witch hunt. But, if he just kept it to a narrow matter, he would only be partially recused.

You’re correct that Rosenstein would appoint his replacement. He named the replacement, but I didn’t catch the name.

I think you’re right, all the way around. The only problem, of course, would be if the replacement is a Swamp creature as well. Who knows how the next-in-line works, now. They are all career people moving up the ladder and had 8 years of Eric Holder/Loretta Lynch, stacking the deck chairs over there, at Just Us.
