Whoa whoa whoa...what’s this?

“Disney hotel guests will continue to park for free at Walt Disney World theme parks, and guests visiting Disney hotels — either to walk around Disney’s Boardwalk, dine at California Grill, or see the savannah at Animal Kingdom Lodge — will not be charged at all.”

This is a bad sentence. But do I understand it to mean “Disney hotel guests visiting Disney parks will not be charged”? If so, it’s mostly moot. Although I don’t know how they tell - do they charge after the fact, as when we parked there to go to St. Aug the next day and then SeaWorld after that? I.e., we didn’t get pinged as going to a park?

I read it to mean that if you drive from the hotel to the park (rather than taking the free shuttle bus) you won’t be charged a second fee at the park in addition to the one you’ll be paying at the hotel.

What I don’t understand is why they are nickle and diming on this instead of just jacking up the room rates.
