I confirmed your claim that Brennan voted for Gus Hall, the Communist Party presidential candidate in 1976. This is the first I ever heard of it; can you imagine the uproar if a Republican had nominated someone - AS HEAD OF THE CIA - who had voted for some fringe candidate on the far-right?
