Bloodshed could mean many different types of upheaval. The light variety of the occasional radicalized liberal shooting up a Congressional baseball field, they’re fine with that all day long. Even the occasional street clash is probably fine with them. Anything their propagandists in the media use the violence as a propaganda vehicle they’re all for.
A full on shooting war is their worst nightmare. That’s why they were so outraged at Kurt Schlichter’s article about it. We’re never supposed to think about that alternative because it not only threatens their power now but has the potential to undo 100 years of progressive social engineering virtually overnight.
It is not their nightmare. It is outside their conception. There base firmly believes that such can never happen here, or they would treasure the Second Amendment.
The leadership mostly believes it would never happen because they hold the reins to media power.
The idea that it could happen is completely denied by them. If they are forced to consider it, their entire conception of realilty is destroyed.
