Get necessary gear while on seasonal clearance, at reduced prices.
Evaluate where you are in terms of equipment and supplies, and in the "Off Season" fill in any voids that you find.

When we moved we bought probably 30 to 40 moving blankets. At Harbor freight with coupons. I’m going to keep every single one of them. So far they have been incredibly handy for all sorts of things. Haven’t needed them to keep warm yet, but I’m sure they’ll work for that.
