DAG vs AAG.

Notable to me at least, that even now Sundance refered to Rosenstein, as AAG, not DAG. I wholeheartedly agree with that connotation.

I am waiting to be convinced that Sessions is anywhere near off the Rosenstein short chain.

Sessions has been reduced to nothing above the “announcer”, at the Department.

He never convinces anyone that he is able to *independently* take any initiative. Speaking always in terms of “we”, or the “department”, that there is a lot of “counsel” going on, and he will be taking this or that, under “advisement”.

His embarrassing fumble as a witness before the Judicial Committee and the Intel Committee proved in kleg lights that he doesn’t know what to say, of even knows the inside of what is going on, in the Rosenstein loop.

Roseenstein is not stupid. He may very well see the walls closing in, and he may have finally okayed the outside prosecutor coming in to take a peek at the corruption going on at the FBI and JD.

That split certainly exists, depending on the issue. See recusals.

If one is focused on Mueller, then AAG. As though Mueller is the entirety of DOJ.

I know we (you and I) have a strong differences of opinion on Sessions. I'm just going to leave it at that rather than discuss in any detail.

FBI reports direct to Rosenstein, but for corruption in the FBI, he lacks the power to call for outside or special counsel. Sessions is not recused from FBI oversight, and sessions would be the likely superior in case Rosenstein is personally in legal jeopardy.
