I beg your pardon, it’s Punna Owwa Wees, and I can’t hear any version of it without laughing. Ooopa Doopa!
I showed the video to a millennial. Nearly melted down because of cultural inappropriateness.
I like it, I like the Bangles.
Has to have the most idiotic, self-serving lyrics of all time.
"Here I am again all alone"
Really? How many people in his band, his road crew, collected drug-addicted slut groupies, etc. are always surrounding him?
And if a one-dimensional idiot like him tries to claim that he may be physically surrounded by people, but that his keen intellect and/or sensitivity make it so that no one "really understands him" then I call BS on that too.
I liked Karma Chameleon, but that's about it. The freak could actually sing.
I probably heard the song one time too many.
Ebony and Ivory - Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder
Salt and Pepper shakers we
Sit together in seasoned harmony
Side-by-side on the dinner table
Oh, Lord, why don’t we eat?
“We are the World”!!!
#1 POS - Craptastic - Slapped Together -
low brow harmony Evuh!!!
Yeah that one should be #1
Tears for Fears. I did like Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Shout, not so much.
Didn’t anyone else’s buddies call them (in those politically incorrect days) Beers for Queers? I remember that a lot.
The little faggot with the earring and the make-up (yeah, buddy, that’s his own hair).
Him?
“Nothing Compares 2 U” - Shine-Head O’Connor.
Wish Prince had kept that one to himself.
Yeah there was a lot of crap back then in the 70s but a hell of a lot of good stuff to counteract it as well. The 80s though were just one huge wasteland of utter utter crap, there is nothing good that came out of the 80s.
Might as well toss in "Do They Know It's Christmas"......"Tonight thank God it's them instead of you."......F___ Off, Bono!
That’s actually a pretty good summation of what happened, but I still liked all the campy songs.
“Probably the most underrated tune of the 1980s”
That album had 7 singles that charted :-). Only “Pour Some Sugar on Me” makes me want to icepick out my eardrums. “Hysteria” is certainly the best song off that album.
Definitely Tom Hanks’ best movie.
“Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul Train!”
The smooth baritone of Don Cornelius.
