It didn't help matters that “Toys R Us” took out debt and sunk several billion into an Internet site and distribution platform that was designed to compete with the likes of Amazon. The site looked great, but was constantly hampered by out of stock items, slow delivery and high prices. Customers quickly realized they could get the same products from Amazon or Walmart, usually for a substantial discount and with fast and free shipping.

Though one must be aware that when buying from either Amazon or Walmart many of their items are from 3rd party and the quality/return policies are different. I didn’t realize this at first and got stuck with a poorly made item. The company never responded to my Email requests for a return authorization number. Alas, the 30 day time limit for returns ran out.
