I ate bread all my life- until about 8 years ago - suddeny I started getting itching rashes that drove me crazy- It took me 3 years to figure out that it was bread causing it.

I found that the symptoms went away if I took benedryl. So it must be an allergic reaction... so by process of elimination I figured out it was wheat products.

I don’t know if it is the chemicals they are puttin on it (roundup?) or genetically modified- but I can’t eat it anymore.

It also causes inflamation in my joints to the point my doctor told me I needed a hip replacement- I stopped eating bread and it went away 100%.

Something similar happened with me and milk products. Very bad abdominal pain. Stopped drinking milk. No lower GI problems. I have to take a lactaid to eat cheese.

Overdid it once on cheese and got the pain back and confirmed it was lactose intolerance.

Sad.
