Our library had these summer programs that awarded stars or something for each oral book report. The library ladies would sort of roll their eyes and then say,”We know you read them all.” I think they got tired of seeing me there.
I don’t remember learning to read. I think I followed along during bedtime stories and by the time I was four, I could read.
Same here. I don’t even remember learning the alphabet or learning how to read. Just remember reading, by 4 could read regular books. As a result, I often knew the meanings of words but not how to pronounce them. Spent childhood going to and from the library plus we had a lot of books at home.
I bet a lot of freepers learned how to read early.
