According to a poll, 6 out of 10 millennials can't change a light bulb:
Manual transmission is now an antitheft device.
LOL. No kidding.
We adults can also communicate in cursive code.
I just call 911.
I learned to drive a stick on the job site in 1980. The foreman said they needed a “gopher” to drive the company truck to go pick up materials, etc... He asked “Do you know how to drive a manual transmission” and the only word out of my mouth was “Yes.” I figured all I had to do was get the truck off the lot and practice a bit behind the Hardee’s where he couldn’t see me, and if I could make the round trip to Kokomo Lumber I was set for the summer.
And that’s what happened. I got paid to drive around Kokomo and listen to Vince Lloyd and Lou Boudreaux broadcast Cub games on WGN Radio.
That initiative would never happen with most young people today.
Changing a light bulb is a sign of toxic masculinity and white supremacy.
Maybe they are offended that light bulbs can only be screwed in one way; there are no bisexual or transgender light bulbs.
I used to be really good at changing lightbulbs when I was their age. Now, both the lamps and the bulbs are poorly made. The bulb kind of gets stuck in the lamp and you’re afraid it’s going to break in your hand.
By the way, off topic a bit, but the last box of 4 bulbs went like this: 3 of them burned out in a few days and the last one didn’t work at all. Look at the country of origin before you buy bulbs in a bargain store.
My nephew-in-law is a millennial, and he can rebuild a tractor engine, install a new bathroom, and perform other such useful tasks. Maybe they’re talking to the wrong millennials?
Is that Idiocracy? (I haven’t seen it)
Maybe they're talking to the wrong millennials?
My city in Canada depends on a large steel plant and employs about 8000 men. Worked there for 13 years and got the wits scared out of me a few times. I guess the millennials are doing alright. The place would collapse otherwise. At night one can see the great flumes of fire from it's workings. No place for cissies.
I did the same thing with the dockmule/bombtruck in the Navy. Took it out to the parking area behind our warehouse and backed up and backed up till I got it. Pivot point was difficult to learn to back up.
“We adults can also communicate in cursive code.”
Good one!
Go to San Francisco, Portland, Seattle. You can smell the Stupid. Seriously.
Yes.
What if the light bulb identifies as something else?
Like a headlight?
For me changing a light bulb was difficult. Until I got 800 other guys to turn the house for me. Then it was a piece of cake.
Grandpa asked his millennial grandson to help, but no luck. So his pet is helping instead.
I hope to catch it someday. I searched to see if it was on but didn’t find it a couple nights ago.
How many liberals does it take to change a lightbulb?
None. It’s society that has to change, and accept them for what they are, they didn’t chose to have a broken filament, and they shouldn’t be labeled as “broken” ... they are “Alternatively Profunctioned.”
