HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) - A man has received 'significant' injuries after falling from a parking garage in Huntington.
According to Huntington Police, at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, a man was found laying on the ground on the 700 block of 3 1/2 alley with items laying around him.
Police say that the man, identified as Christopher Sowards, of Huntington, is believed to have a fractured skull and a broken back after a fall.
Police say they believe Sowards broke into two vehicles in the parking garage across from the civic center on 3rd Avenue, and took a garden hose to rappel down the third story of the parking garage.

I’ve watched garden hoses break by people pulling on them too hard while doing watering. Not a great idea.
;)
That darn explosion by those terrorists didn’t help....
Loved that show. As a kid, I had the Mannix Roll down pat.
A decent garden hose should have held his weight if he wasn’t a fat bastard...
Betcha, the stuff he stole caused him to slip and fall...
Note to self: Don’t lay carpeting in strips that can be conveniently sucked out the window.
And never, NEVER go to Nakatomi(sp?) Tower for a Christmas party.
Especially if there’s a Huey Lewis-lookin’ guy at the front security desk.
Should use this incident to advertise for Flex Hose. So strong, you can rapell out of a parking garage, yet roll it up into a ball by simply turning off the water!
That roll can come in handy if you’re even in a limo on the Grand Central Parkway.
Colt Seavers or the dumb sidekick that spent a semester at every college in America.
D- for grammar.
Apologies to all offended. I missed that in my haste and disgust and will ask mods to remove it.
Sowards has been arrested for petit larceny, destruction of property, breaking and entering into a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.

Too bad he lived.
I googled his name. Homeboy seems to have a big record. Thought it sounded familiar when posted.
No sympathy from me, and he has to pay the expenses of “rescuing” him.
