Very so. And faux outrage and virtue signaling has gotten very annoying. That's the kind of smug condescension that is counterproductive and uncalled for.
And sometimes outrage isn't faux, while accusations of "virtue signalling" are.
So at least accept the fact that there can be genuine differences of opinion or interpretation, and when they do appear, treat them as what they are—geniune...

I agree that differences of opinion exist, and I respect that. However, I consider it manipulation when people express outrage over things that should be discussed reasonably and logically.
Opinion and emotion are different things.
