YESSS!
And its mothers day so I am joining in! Everyone here can [deleted] starve for all I care! I do enough around here!
Where is that time clock?! I am punching OUT, dammit! At 4 pm! So there!!
Waddles on the stage to murder a Carrie Underwood song.
Katy: There's no one like you [anywhere]. So exponentially special. That's what makes a star.
Lionel: (Imitates his penguin dance) Started off on a grand scale.
Luke: Really deliberate with your delivery. America can really sit back and hear your lyrics.
These are "more realistic critiques"?
That John Goodman/McDonald’s ad is clever because he did several McDonald’s ads back in the 80’s before he was famous.
Didn't catch the name of the song. It was a slow one, but he sang it very well.
Lionel: So authentic. Exactly who you are.
Katy: Your sensitivity is unparralled. Some people are physically outperforming you. You gotta flap those wings a little harder.
Luke: I sat back and listened with my eyes closed. Your voice is very important. Embrace it.
Maddie: (making everyone feel old) I was a huge Carrie Underwood fan growing up.
She sings "I Told You So", strumming her guitar. A little pitchy in spots, but the best so far tonight.
Katy: I had no idea where I was. I was just in your world. You have a lot of strengths. I just want to hear a record of yours.
Luke: You never have to worry about what notes your singing. Because you tell a story perfectly.
Lionel: You suffer from the exact same phobia every other artist has, over thinking everything. (says she's fine the way she is)
Now we're into sappy Mother's Day crap.
She sings Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing". Pretty good, but no one would mistake that for the original.
Now for more hard hitting judges' comments.
Luke: I'm shutting up.
Okay.
Lionel: To "gabberize" Whitney is almost impossible. [But you did it]
Katy: Who are you and what did you do with Gabby? I have a lot of glue on this wig and it got loose.
Sings "Stars In Alabama". Unfamiliar with this song, but he's doing a great job with it.
Luke: So fun to hear you in your wheelhouse. Tailor-made.
Lionel: (says his voice is instantly recognizable)
Katy: In two years when you're 21 I'd like to drink a beer with you.
