Nonsense. It's nothing more sinister than society having well developed mechanisms for controlling the natural proclivity of men to violence and aggression, while having literally NO mechanism for controlling the natural provlivity of women to vanity and duplicity. It used to be that women had a harder time divorce-raping the guy. If she was unhaaapy, she could walk out without his assets. This meant that fewer women tried the divorce route.

Funny you should mention that. One of the big shockers I got out of Warren Farrell’s “The Myth of Male Power” was that until the writing of his book there were ZERO recorded incidences in this country of a woman killing her “abusive” husband without an insurance policy, illicit lover, or other financial support alternative.
