Fellow "Blue Collar Union Workers" and "middle class folks" in western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, etc., POTUS, Trump, is headed your way (Moon Township, PA) for a political rally being held this Saturday evening, at 7;00PM, to support and garner votes for Republican, Rick Saccone who is running in a special election - PA18CD for an open Congressional House seat.
You know folks, for eight years of GW Bush, and eight years of Barack Hussein Obama, both of these elitists had nary a clue of who Blue Collar, Middle Class, union folks were and, they did not give one hoot about you, your families, your lives...as they both stood by and watching your manufacturing job and trades disappear. Only DJT is on your side....that is simple fact!!!

Unions are only 7% of the workforce and as such mostly irrelevant to the trade/political discussion. But we’ll take what we can get from them.

You hit the nail right on the head! I am so sick and tired of liberal Marxism being excreted from the “institutes of higher learning” which is intended to reduce this country to third world status as punishment for success, while the elites are bought off and the working class is betrayed.
It was a bitter pill for me to finally see the Bushes for what they really are, just the opposite side of the same coin that contains the Marxists such as Obama, Biden, Kerry, et al. The DC UniParty, living large by looting the USA.

True, but membership is not homogeneous throughout the country. In PA it’s 12%. In certain counties/districts it can be even higher. There are also people who aren’t in unions but are in union families and traditional union communities that depend on a large factory or mine. And they vote. In municipalities that sometimes have 20% of registered voters turning out in off-year elections, that matters “bigly.”
I used to hate unions. Now I am ambivalent towards them.
Imagine if you’d worked for years helping prevent unionization in textile plants only to see them evaporate over a period of a few years time due to asinine trade policy while the few unionized plants are still there. Make no mistake, I hate the union leadership, I know what they are and what they are is marxist. But, the people themselves, the rank and file membership, I can’t say I blame them. The past 20 years have proved that they’d sell their own mother for a buck. Not trustworthy.
It goes longer than GW and Obama’s. It goes all the way back to GHWB and Bill (I feel your pain but won’t do anything about it ) Clinton.

Your numbers are correct but “Union blue collar workers” and “Non-Union, blue color workers are out there by the millions. They make the USA world go round. These auto workers, steel workers, plumbers, sheet metal workers, oil drillers, pipe layers, railroad workers, aircraft mechanics, construction workers, nurses, first responders, police, firemen, military folks, etc., and on and on in unending occupations...these folks are the heart and soul of the American Republic.
Thank God, they have the number one boss in the country, POTUS, Donald J. Trump on their side. You know why....because Trump’s father made sure that DJT, when growing up in NYC, NY, worked right with all the Trump construction workers. That is why Trump speaks like a “New York” street kid...he is one, and “A REAL SMART ONE AT THAT”!!! Trump knows working folks, loves working folks..it’s in his blood from head to toe!!!
