Owls were also frequently present in Dr John Mack’s alien abduction sessions (seen by abductees). It seems that they are false memories/images which hide creatures too terrifying to accept.

I have a vague memory of a movie still showing a monster...looked like a normal human male in a suit except for a sharp hooked nose very like an owl beak.

On THAT note, I wonder if that’s how the Dracula myth got started, monsters have been ripping adrenochrome out of children’s necks for ages to extend lifespan.
