The researchers many of whom posted on FR, know the facts of his real life. Parents, place of birth, etc. None of the “autobiography” facts are real.
I’ve read or skimmed many of them and I agree. Personally, I’m struck by his resemblance to the Indonesian cult leader who had a relationship with not only his mother, but that Hawaiian official. Fuddy? Or, at least, Fuddy was a member, IIRC.
However, the twists and turns within or a step removed from the myths,tell a parallel story of their own. Myths can be distorted reflections of reality.
